Fresh Wood Fired Pizza was formed in 2010 when the chef and owner Mark Tomczak along with his wife Courtney Smith decided to create an authentic wood fired pizza restaurant in the town of Black Mountain NC. The concept was simple, make great tasting food and give great service. The ideat of thin crust Italian style pizza using a oven imported from Italy and fueling it only with wood gives the pizza an amazing taste. The owner wanted to give those who have a intolerance to gluten an option so he created a gluten free pizza crust and designed salad dressings and sauces for pasta to accommodate those needs.
