Duke Health Raleigh Hospital, formerly Raleigh Community Hospital, is a 186-bed acute-care facility that provides medical services to residents of Wake County in North Carolina. A full-service acute care hospital, DHRH s range of services includes a 24-hour emergency department, intensive and critical care, childbirth center, cardiovascular center, cancer center, rehabilitation, diabetes treatment center and community education program. It also maintains a musculoskeletal center that offers comprehensive orthopedic and rehabilitation services. Raleigh Hospital is a member of the Duke University Medical Center. The hospital opened its doors in 1914 as Mary Elizabeth Hospital and was later renamed Raleigh Community Hospital. It moved to its present location at 3400 Wake Forest Road in 1978.
