Davis-Townsend Elementary School, located in Lexington, N.C., is part of Davidson County School District. It offers classes from preschool to grade five, and enrolls more than 600 students. Founded in 1930, the new school building covers an area of more than 75,000-square-feet and houses more than 30 classrooms and a cafeteria, and offers 15,000-square-feet of playground area. The school expects parents to be the primary educators of their children, and complements the family in a joint effort to impart a comprehensive education, including cultural, moral, physical and academic development.
