In 1983, Edwards purchased its first crane, a 35-ton Grove. The company has since evolved into one of the leaders in crane rental and full-service heavy industrial contracting. By continuing to provide quality work and service and making a commitment to each customer, Edwards has grown into one of the largest full-service industrial contractors and crane rental companies in the southeastern United States. The company s projects range in size from short-term time and material projects to long-term multi-discipline contract projects that encompass a spectrum of craft requirements. Customer lists include companies in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food processing, wood and paper products, power generation and textiles located throughout North America. Its hydraulic crane rental fleet is noted as being one of the largest in North Carolina. Edwards maintains a location in Greenville, N.C.
