January 2, 1937 The first expansion of the plant with new equipment, the company begins being profitable. January 2, 1972 The Company acquires the Toluviejo Plant in Colombia, which would go on to produce 600 tons daily. January 2, 1998 New strategic alliances are made to acquire cement companies in Panama, Dominican Republic and Haiti. January 2, 2006 Ready Mixed Concrete Company is acquired becoming the sixth concrete producer in the United States. An investment is also made in port facilities in Houston, Savannah and Wilmington. January 2, 2007 Unified Brand Launching of Argos unified brand; the Company focuses on Costumer Guidance. Quality is not considered to be a distinctive feature any more and becomes an intrinsic characteristic. It has 9 plants in Colombia, 3 in the United States, and 1 in Honduras. 9 clinker mills located in the United States, Haiti, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, French Guiana, and Surinam, 24 ports and terminals for receipt and packaging. Its total installed capacity is 19.9 million tons of cement per year. In the concrete business, Argos is the world market leader. It has 389 plants located in Colombia, the United States, Haiti, Panama, the Dominican Republic and Surinam. Its total installed capacity is 17.9 million cubic meters of concrete per year.
