I became a dietitian because I enjoyed learning about food science in college and have always wanted to make a difference in how people view food. From an early age, I knew that I wanted to help others build a healthy lifestyle. I love to cook, try new foods and discuss recipes. My work as a lifestyle educator prepared me for dietetic training. My philosophy is to meet my patients where they are currently. I hope to be their nutrition coach, teacher and cheerleader, enabling them to feel empowered to improve their overall health through lifestyle changes that work for them. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, entertaining friends and family, hunting, and fishing. Other hobbies include gardening, swimming and yoga.
