Casa Esperanza Montessori is a nonprofit, public charter preschool, using Montessori philosophy and pedagogy, in an English and Spanish dual language environment. The school s multiage programs include children's house immersion and Spanish enrichment for 3- to 6-year-olds, and CHLE, a transition class for children in grades kindergarten and one. It also offers lower elementary immersion and Spanish enrichment programs for 6- to 9-year-olds, and upper elementary Spanish enrichment programs for 9- to12-year-olds. Trained Montessori teachers and teacher assistants direct its classes. Casa Esperanza Montessori s interdisciplinary school includes a community of more than 300 students from culturally diverse families. Its curriculum emphasizes academic core subjects, independence and organizational skills, and is supplemented by a variety of cultural subjects, including history and music, creative dramatics, and physical education.
