Carolina Apothecary was originally established in 1945 as a pharmacy. The company expanded in 1979 and again in 1989 to offer home medical equipment and supplies. In April 1996, Carolina Apothecary moved into a 9,000-square-foot building, which houses a retail pharmacy and more space for sales and display of home medical equipment.
