My favorite subjects in school were the sciences - especially biology. I always wanted to know how the human body worked, and that curiosity led me to medicine. I enjoy people and love the dynamics of family medicine, which allows me to get to know and care for entire families. \n I am a good listener and strive to understand both what a patient says - and, just as importantly, doesn't say. I'm board-certified in family medicine and have been practicing medicine for over 30 years. I have an ability to make complex medical issues easy to understand for my patients. I also excel at creating plans with my patients that set them up for success and at ensuring appropriate follow-up. I love being able to make a positive difference in someone's life. \n I grew up in western New York in a working-class family with two sisters. We were always surrounded by a lot of extended family. \n I went to college and medical school in Ohio and completed my residency in Virginia, which is where I met my husband. We've been married for about three decades and have two children. My husband and I moved to Greensboro in 2020 and are enjoying being closer to family. I love spending time with family - which includes our dog - and cooking, gardening, hiking and traveling.
