Fredrick Bleecker, grandfather of current owner and President Robert F. Bleecker Jr. opened a car dealership on Maxwell St in old Fayetteville lining the streets with prestigious Hudsons and Packards. In 1946 Robert Bleecker Sr. joined the business and along with his father they built a new dealership on East Russell St in downtown Fayetteville.Robert F. "Bobby" Bleecker Jr. joined the business in 1964 and with his mother began selling Fiats and Jaguars. Then in 1979 Mr. Bleecker moved to Red Springs and opened Bleecker Olds/Buick/GMC with his mother, Jennie Bleecker.Over the years the Bleecker Family has added locations to help service the North Carolina vehicle buying public. Currently the Bleecker Family of Dealerships has three locations stretching from Red Springs south of Fayetteville to Dunn in Harnett County to the north.The family of franchises currently consists of GMC, Chevrolet & Buick in the General Motors line and Dodge, Ram, Jeep, and Chrysler in the Chrysler group.
