History
Black Mountain Iron Works opened its studios in 1993 in downtown Black Mountain where it became not just an artist studio but a gallery as well. In the year 2000 Dan & Tekla built their studios at 203 Padgettown Road where the two artists create small and large scale works. Presently BMIW operates out of the studio on Padgettown Road in Black Mountain. There is a large outdoor sculpture garden and a small showroom inside the studio. The studio can be seen through the window and doorway from the showroom.
