Behavioral Health Services is a 50-bed unit that offers comprehensive psychiatric care to patients with a wide range of emotional, social, spiritual and physical needs. It has a team of psychiatrist, psychologist, social worker, nursing staff, family therapist, substance abuse specialist, pharmacist, and occupational and recreation therapist. It offers a wide range of services, such as interdisciplinary care, recreation therapy, and medication adjustment and management. It also provides various geropsychiatric programs that include assessment, spirituality groups, reality orientation, sensory stimulation, pharmacist involvement, and recreational and occupational therapy. Located in Greenville, N.C, Behavioral Health Services is a part of the University Health Systems that serves more than 25 counties and over 1.2 million people in eastern North Carolina.
