I was always interested in a career in health and decided to combine that with my passion for food and become a dietitian. I also was interested in the preventive aspect of dietetics and the impact prevention has to overall health and chronic illness. My philosophy of care revolves around patient-centered care. My understanding of the relationship between the health care team and a patient is working together to accomplish a desired goal. Outside of work, I enjoy visiting my family in Chicago, cooking healthy new recipes, taking spin classes, and spending time with my husband and miniature schnauzer, Tessa.
