History
Animal Medical Services is a part of Blue Ridge Veterinary Services that also includes Galax Veterinary Clinic. Our Galax office was founded by Dr. Donald Fincher in 1966 and in 1994 Animal Medical Services was founded as a satellite office. Dr. Clark Fincher, DVM, and Dr. Renee Sykes, DVM are the current co-owners. Our associate veterinarians include: Dr. Karen Saintsing, Dr. Rob Meinecke, Dr. Rita Hemmings, and Dr. Joanne Jennings.

Animal Medical Services and Galax Veterinary Clinic make up Blue Ridge Veterinary Services. We provide veterinary care for multiple species including small and large animals. We are available to care for your animals with farm and house calls, as well. Emergency services are available to our clients 24 hours a day including weekends and holidays.
