After living here for several years and missing the comfort of a local bookstore, we decided to open one ourselves! We want to really focus on being a community space, so we host a lot of events, and are always open to new ideas!
Specialties
Opened in 2018, White Paw is excited to bring books back to Newark! We carry a variety of books both old and new, including fiction and nonfiction, history, mystery, romance, thrillers, horror, comics, manga, cookbooks, DIY, spiritual, philosophy, graphic novels, and more! We have a small selection of unique antiques and local art perfect to spice up your decor. We are also excited to be Newark's premiere destination for new and used games including Magic: the Gathering. We host weekly MTG events, as well as book discussions, a monthly writer's group, and other community services such as low-cost computer repair, small web design, and a variety of classes including crafts, computer skills, and more!
