Westchester Exceptional Children's School, also known as WEC, is a nonprofit educational institute that serves students from more than 25 school districts and over nine counties in New York and Connecticut. Founded in 1969, the school works to meet the educational, social and emotional needs of people with communication, behavioral and autism-related disorders. As a day care facility, it offers a variety of special education programs. Westchester Exceptional Children's School provides speech and group therapies, as well as conducts parent training and counseling sessions. The school offers job placement and adaptive physical education classes. Founded in 1969, it provides psychological counseling and homework assistance services. Westchester Exceptional Children's School organizes various sports activities, such as basketball and cheerleading.
