The Washington Irving Adult Educational Center is a part of Schenectady City Schools, which serves more than 10,000 students through over 15 elementary, middle and high schools, as well as alternative learning centers. The center offers English as a Second Language and distance learning programs. Its continuing education program includes instruction in digital photography, jewelry making and financial planning. The Washington Irving Adult Educational Center also conducts computer education classes and provides a variety of recreational activities. In addition, the center supports activities, such as belly dancing, acting and yoga. The Washington Irving Adult Educational Center is located in Schenectady, N.Y.
