Unqua Elementary School, established in 1952, offers educational instruction to students in grades kindergarten through six. The school has an enrollment of more than 700 students and is a part of the Massapequa Public School District. It offers classes in music, fine arts, physical education, English, math, science, social studies and computers. The school s library offers a large collection of books on various topics, encyclopedias, maps, dictionaries, magazines and other audiovisual reference materials. It also provides various food items for breakfast and lunch. The school s parent-teacher association sponsors various family events and academic enrichment programs throughout the school year.
