is a privately-owned company of experienced medical writers, editors, and business consultants. Galen Press is located in New York state in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains about 30 miles southeast of Albany, 120 miles north of New York City, and 150 miles west of Boston. John has more than 25 years of experience in directing healthcare communications and consulting projects. During that time, John has created and written hundreds of projects on diverse topics for a wide array of audiences ' including patients, nurses, hospital executives, and physicians of many specialties. John is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Colby College and has an MBA from Columbia University. Doug oversees the publication process at Galen Press and is responsible for maintaining our reputation for accurate educational content, clear literate writing, and attractive and appropriate design. He has a bachelor's degree from Princeton University and did graduate work in English literature at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He has taught college English, managed production at a large typehouse, and edited books for various publishing companies. With a background in journalism and academic editing, as well as 5 years of experience in rendering complex medical subjects easy to understand, Sean provides Galen Press with a depth of writing and editing experience. He is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire. He has written extensively on pain medicine, cardiology, and gastroenterology. Janet has more than 20 years of experience in providing marketing communications services across a range of industries, and she is a published author on the effective use of marketing technologies. Janet is a graduate of Brandeis University and has an MBA from Babson College. Jill has had a lengthy career in medical writing and editing, including work on medical journals and books while at Williams & Wilkins and the National Academy of Sciences and medical education projects during years on staff at Biomedical Information and other medical education companies in the New York area. She has expertise in developing many types of publications, ranging from newsletters to product monographs, as well as audio and video projects. Her areas of interest and experience are infectious diseases/vaccines, oncology, HIV/AIDS, gastroenterology, cardiology, anesthesiology/pain management, and psychiatry.
