East Syracuse Minoa Spartan Garage is a unique automotive technology program located in East Syracuse, NY. For the past 18 years, students at East Syracuse Minoa High School have been restoring classic vehicles as part of their hands-on learning experience. Each year, the students purchase a classic vehicle, restore it, and sell raffle tickets to fund future projects. The program not only teaches students technical knowledge and skills necessary for the automotive service industry but also instills important life skills such as budgeting, advertising, and collaboration. With the support of their business partners, including East Syracuse Chevrolet and LMC Truck, the Spartan Garage has successfully restored and raffled off a wide range of classic vehicles, from a 1951 Dodge B-3-B Pickup to a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1. The program has been featured in various publications and media outlets, highlighting the students' achievements and the impact of the program on their education.
