The River Caf was founded by Michael O Keeffe in 1977 as a waterfront restaurant. Located in Brooklyn, N.Y., The River Caf has been the recipient of numerous awards, including selection as one of the five best restaurants in New York City by the French culinary guide Gault Millau. The restaurant s collection of wines include Chateau Ray, Chateau Petrus, Domaine Ramonet, Neillon, Vega Sicilia and Domaine de La Romanee Conti. The Terrace Room at The River Caf offers a setting for private dining with views overlooking New York Harbor and the Manhattan skyline. The restaurant s menu features scallops, smoked salmon, lobster soup, poached chicken salad, rainbow trout salad, duck breasts, ribs, fish and fillets. It also serves cheesecakes, apple cake, coconut bavarian and coffee caramel parfait.
