One of the oldest churches in East Hampton, St. Luke's Episcopal Church is located in the heart of historic East Hampton Village across from its historic cemetery and Town Pond. The parish began in 1859, and the cornerstone for the current church was laid in 1909. It is said to be a replica of the All Saints' Church in Maidstone, England, where many of East Hampton's settlers came from. Today, the Rev. Denis C. Brunelle leads parishioners and oversees the new two-story parish building was recently completed in the back. St. Peter's Chapel in Springs is also part of the church and holds services during the summer season.
