St. Gregory of Nyssa Orthodox Church is a parish of the Eastern Orthodox Christian Faith. The Seaford church, which was established in 1980, is a member of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of the U.S.A. The church building, which dates back to 1895, serves a congregation of parishioners from various ethnic backgrounds, including people of Carpatho-Russian, Greek, Ukrainian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Russian, Serbian and Arab heritage. Services are done primarily in English but parts of certain services are done in the traditional Slavonic and some prayers and responses are conducted in Greek and Romanian. The church's pastor is Rev. Hieromonk Matthia.
