South Orangetown Ambulance Corps, also known as SOAC, is a public safety agency that offers a range of emergency medical services. Founded in 1957, the agency serves the hamlets of Blauvelt, Orangeburg, Palisades, Sparkill and Tappan in the town of Orangetown in New York. It maintains youth, training and special operations divisions. The agency utilizes various electric emergency medical response vehicles and bikes. It responds to more than 1,700 calls annually. The agency serves customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is a part of the Emergency Medical Services system of the town. The agency is a member of the New York State Volunteer Ambulance & Rescue Association. South Orangetown Ambulance Corps is dispatched by the Orangetown Police Department.
