Sacred Heart Greenwich
Established in 1848, Convent of the Sacred Heart is a Catholic, independent college preparatory school for young women from preschool through grade 12. Located in Greenwich, Conn., it offers several academic subjects that include science and technology, theology, French, Latin, dance, library skills, computers, physical education and health. Additionally, the school offers several athletic programs, including field hockey, tennis, squash, swimming, diving and lacrosse. Convent of the Sacred Heart also has several student clubs and associations, such as Amnesty International, book of the month club, breast cancer awareness, cooking, Sacred Heart political awareness group and storytelling theater. Students at the school also participate in several community service activities, including fundraising walks, supply drives, holiday food and gift projects, Special Olympics and habitat for humanity program. Convent of the Sacred Heart is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and is approved by the Connecticut State Board of Education.
