Siwanoy Country Club, which formally opened in 1901, is a private club designed by Donald Ross that takes new members based on referrals from existing ones. The club features an 18-hole regulation golf course, the site of the first PGA Championship in 1916. Green fees range from $75 to $110; there is a golf shop, a chipping area, putting green and lessons with a teaching pro. Moreover, there are tennis courts, a tennis shop, a newly remodeled pool and a number of places to eat on the premises, including The Grill Room, the main dining room and outdoor dining on the side terrace.
