Established in 1848, The Seneca Nation of Indians is a social services organization that serves more than 200 children and families annually. The organization offers early childhood, adult basic and parenting education programs. It hosts several career and college informational sessions for community members. The Seneca Nation of Indian provides a variety of media services for the documentation of various culturally-related events and activities. The organization operates the Tribal Youth Council to develop leadership skills and organize community service activities. In addition, it offers a range of health care services, such as laboratory, pharmacy, dietary counseling, family planning, and mental health and substance abuse treatment. The Seneca Nation of Indians operates several tribally motivated programs and projects in the areas of education, health, recreation and culture. The organization maintains a location in Irving, N.Y.
