The School of Art Gallery organizes exhibitions for various artists. Located in Utica, N.Y., it organizes various shows and provides cultural enrichment services to the community. The school encourages the direct contact of students with original works of art by practicing artists. The School of Art Gallery also organizes a variety of exhibitions. The school is a division of the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute, which is a fine arts center that was established in 1919 and conducts more than 800 events every year, including exhibitions and performances, as well as art and dance classes. The Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute is a part of the PrattMWP, which is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design and the New York State Education Department.
