New Settlement is a community-based organization in New York City that has been dedicated to revitalizing the neighborhood and improving public education for over 26 years. Through a collaborative partnership with the NYC Department of Education, School Construction Authority, and other community leaders, New Settlement opened the New Settlement Community Campus in 2012. This campus consists of three public schools and an adjoining community center, providing a range of programs in health, education, youth development, and the arts to students, families, and members of the surrounding community. The New Settlement Community Campus, located in the low-income Mt. Eden neighborhood of the Southwest Bronx, serves over 1,100 students from kindergarten to twelfth grade.
