History
The first Sagar Chinese was established in 2008 in Jamaica, NY by Shamiur Rahman. He started his training at his popular family restaurant business, 'SAGAR' in the Jamaica, NY area. Established back in 1996, it was one of the first leading Bengali/Indian restaurant of its kind, and continues its popularity through today. Since then, due to rising popularity and demand of Sagar Chinese, two additional branches were opened in Bellerose, NY in 2011 and in Jackson Heights, NY in 2018.

Indian-style Chinese, Asian Fusion, Halal Hakka Chinese cuisine. Inspired by Chinese cuisine found in the Indian sub-continent, the most popular dishes are Lollipop Chicken, Thai Soup, Crispy Fish, Beef Sizzling, Chicken Manchurian and many more! The Indian-style Chinese has distinct spicier qualities that heightens the umami flavor, a welcoming change from the regular Chinese food found locally, and can be prepared at any desired levels of spiciness per the guests' wishes.
