Saddle Rock School is part of the Great Neck Union Free School District. It is a public elementary school which educates students from kindergarten through fifth grade.
Built in 1950, Saddle Rock School has long been reputed as one of the best schools in New York State. In 1994, Saddle Rock was awarded the Blue Ribbon Award for Excellence by the U.S. Dept. of Education.
The school prides itself on engaging in "character education."
