Since 2006, the building with the Tudor facade on the corner of East Post Road and Grand has been home to Roberto's Grill Cafe. The menu here is diverse and features the food of Mexico, prepared authentically and available to go or enjoy on site--when a table is open. Breakfast at Roberto's is limited to coffee and bagels or rolls. But for lunch or dinner, customers can choose from tacos, tortas, tostadas, burritos and an array of daily specials. Local residents, workers and shoppers love the quesadillas, which come in several varieties, including a vegetarian version that features zucchini, carrots, tomatoes and more combined with cheese and corn flour tortillas. All the sauces at Roberto's are home-made, and tamales are the special on weekends. Roberto himself, who is usually on hand, is a friendly and affable host.
