Of the five individual fire companies in Sleepy Hollow, the Rescue Hose Fire Company was the first hose company to be established on November 8, 1887. It was originally located on Beekman Avenue along with the Pocantico Hook and Ladder and Fire Patrol. On December 27, 1929 it moved to its current location on Lawrence Avenue.
