Renaissance School of the Arts (RSA) is a middle school located in New York City's District 4. Founded in 2008 by Dr. Tammy Pate, RSA offers open enrollment for students in grades 6-8 and focuses on the arts, with majors in band, dance, and visual arts. Under the leadership of Principal Dr. Brian Bradley, RSA has expanded its curriculum to include high school level regents courses and has developed a pre-conservatory style arts program to prepare students for auditions at specialized NYC high schools.
With a vision to become the premier arts program in District 4, RSA aims to help its students gain entrance and be competitive at the top arts high schools in New York City. Through high-level arts courses, rigorous academics, and social-emotional instruction, RSA strives to provide a well-rounded education that promotes success in all aspects of life. The school has received various awards and recognition for its students' artwork and performances, and it continues to foster a small, passionate community of educators and families dedicated to the well-being and achievement of their students.
