History
The Redhouse Arts Center began when a small group of local artists decided to search for a home. In August of 2001, they found it. Though old and neglected, the three-story brick building had character and potential. It needed major renovations and in September of 2002 a capital campaign was launched to raise the $1.4 million required to transform a former boarding house into a home for the arts. In July 2004, Red House first opened its doors to the public.
