The Port Washington Union Free School District is made up of seven schools -- five elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. It also has a pre-kindergarten program.
The district offers students a broad range of learning opportunities from computer technology and creative arts to physical education and health.
With a staff dedicated to encouraging students to reach their potential and enhance their talents, all of its schools meet the New York State learning standards and assessments.
Dr. Geoffrey Gordon retired as superintendent of Port Washington Union Free School District in July 2012, and had served the district since September 2002.
Dr. Kathleen Mooney was appointed superintendent in December 2013.
