The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey manages and maintains bridges, tunnels, bus terminals and airports. Established in 1921, it operates a resource recovery facility that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is located in Essex County in New Jersey. The authority manages Red Hook Container Terminal, which features facilities for containerized and noncontainerized cargoes. Its real estate portfolio includes a more than 12,000-acre land and over 40 million square feet of office, industrial, retail and technical space. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey also manages Teterboro Airport, which offers courier services.
