During fellowship, Dr. Trujillo participated in the AAFPRS Foundation’s FACE TO FACE: The National Domestic Violence Project, a not-for-profit program aimed to provide, pro bono, consultation and surgical repair of facial injuries to victims of domestic violence. Dr. Trujillo plans to expand this project at Columbia University Medical Center as it is a chance to offer help to victims of domestic violence. Dr. Trujillo blends art, science, and innovation to his skilled practice in the treatment of the aging face, including lift and rejuvenation of the face, neck, eyelid, and brows. Other offerings include lip and chin augmentation, primary and revision rhinoplasty, and Mohs reconstruction, as well as minimally-invasive techniques and office-based procedures, including non-surgical rhinoplasty, injectable filler augmentation, laser treatments, and Botox injection. Unique to his practice are his in-office surgical procedures to address aging face concerns, even including face, neck, eyelid and brow lifting, performed entirely under local anesthesia, with only minimal downtime in most cases. Dr. Trujillo also uniquely offers rhinoplasty surgery performed either entirely through the nose, with no external incisions, or the traditional open technique with only a small external incision. Dr. Trujillo is committed to advancing the field of facial plastic surgery through extensive, innovative research at Columbia University Medical Center. He has written peer-reviewed papers, book chapters, and presented research at national meetings. He is excited to return to CUMC after completion of his Fellowship training to contribute to resident and medical student education, as well as to the future of facial plastic surgery.
