Ontario Fire Company protects life, property and the environment from fire and natural disasters. It is a volunteer company with more than 90 members. The company s personnel is trained in a variety of fire and rescue specialties, including vehicle extrication and radiological response. In addition to fire suppression duties, Ontario Fire Company responds to other emergency calls. It maintains a fleet of brush and pump trucks and utility vehicles. The company s firemen auxiliary assists firefighters and participates in fundraising events. Its Explorer Post 739 is a young adult program designed to promote personal growth and physical fitness among youths of ages 14 through 21. The company also conducts a life safety program that includes educational tours and firefighting equipment demonstrations. Founded in 1907, Ontario Fire Company additionally manages a banquet facility.
