The Old Westbury Golf & Country Club in Old Westbury, N.Y., is a five-star rated course that, according to reviewers, is well conditioned and aesthetically pleasing. From a caddy s point of view, the course must be played as the final nine. The course s overlook is the most wooded of the three nines at the Old Westbury Golf and Country Club. It begins with a benign downhill par five that is fronted with water for one-third of the green. The best par four s on the course are probably hole two and hole four, with each having lengthy and demanding greens. Both par three s measure more than 180 yards with hole five an uphill par three with a small bailout area to the right. The nine holes end up with an uphill par four with water and a deep bunker to negotiate for the final shot to the green.
