Central Vermont Public Service Corporation is an independent, investor-owned company that provides energy and energy-related services to customers throughout Vermont. CVPS serves more than 151,000 customers in nearly 75 percent of the towns, villages and cities in Vermont. The company has one non-regulated business, Eversant, which sells and rents electric water heaters through a subsidiary, SmartEnergy Water Heating Services. Services provided by the company include utility operations and maintenance, energy delivery and construction, engineering and project management and nonelectric wire construction.
