The First Union Baptist Mission Church of Brooklyn was founded by Reverend Willis B. Wyatt in 1919. Members of the church met at several different locations until the first Sunday of 1956, where they first came together at this current location on Gates Avenue. The church holds weddings, funerals and baby dedications, ministries for music, dance and nurses, as well as Sunday School and Christian education. It offers a wide range of events, which are posted on the church's website.
