Sleepy Hollow is within the boundaries of the Town of Mount Pleasant to which citizens pay town taxes to receive life support paramedic services, animal control services and police and fire assistance. The town also is responsible for striping roads in the village. The town assesses property and guarantees 100 percent of the taxes to both the county and the school system.
