Montgomery Transitional Services, also known as MTS, is a nonprofit organization that provides recovery-oriented environments for individuals with psychiatric disabilities. Incorporated in 1980, it offers congregate treatment programs. The organization also provides residences for adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses. Montgomery Transitional Services offers treatment apartment and supported housing programs. Its home-based crisis intervention program serves children between the ages of 5 and 18 with emotional disturbances and behavioral difficulties. Montgomery Transitional Services also provides children and youth community residence programs for adolescents. It features a community residence that is a 10-bed facility. The organization s programs are certified by the New York State Office of Mental Health.
