Native American Community Services
The Native American Community Board (NACB) is a non-profit organization established in 1985 by a group of Native Americans residing near the Yankton Sioux Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Dedicated to safeguarding the health and human rights of Indigenous Peoples, NACB focuses on cultural preservation, education, coalition building, and reproductive and environmental justice at local, national, and international levels. Under the governance of NACB, the Native American Women's Health Education Resource Center (NAWHERC) provides direct services to Native women and families in South Dakota, advocating for reproductive health and rights through community education, violence prevention, and environmental justice initiatives. Since its inception in 1988, NAWHERC has been a pioneering force in addressing Indigenous women's reproductive health and justice issues while striving to preserve and protect Native culture.Generated from the website
