Maple East Elementary School is a public school that enrolls more than 600 students in kindergarten through four. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, including language arts, writing, reading, mathematics, social studies and science. The school offers a variety of activities for students throughout the year, including chess, art, recorder, peer, local history, journal writing and motivation clubs. It offers a physical education program that involves students in various activities, such as soccer, juggling, gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, cup stacking, bowling, baseball, track and field, football and miniature golf. The school has community partnerships with Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital and Canterbury Woods. At Canterbury Woods, its students perform a variety of things with and for the residents, such as chorus concerts, plays and interviews with the residents. Located in Williamsville, N.Y., it is a part of the Williamsville Central School District.
