The Long Island High-Technology Incubator supports the growth of early-stage business startups in the fields of biotechnology, electronics and software. The 72,000 square foot facility was established in 1992 and is part of the Research Foundation of Stony Brook University. LIHTI houses 18 companies with the goal of nurturing their growth to the point where they are able to sustain themselves and graduate to a formal business location. Among LIHTI's services to member companies are protecting intellectual property, obtaining financing, marketing products and supporting the development of management.
