LI Against Domestic Violence is a regional pioneer and leader in empowering victims and survivors of abuse on Long Island. Founded in 1976, they provide a range of services to help over 14,000 Long Island adults and children each year escape from abusive relationships and build new lives.
Through advocacy, shelter, vocational services, and counseling, LIADV allows victims to reclaim their lives and works with law enforcement and the community to prevent abuse. Their mission is to educate the community, provide support in a caring environment, and ultimately break the cycle of violence.
