Founded in 1977, Lewisbro Volunteer Ambulance Corporation is a volunteer organization that offers a variety of pre-hospital emergency medical care services in New York. The corporation serves more than 350 patients a year. It transports its patients to Northern Westchester Hospital and Putnam Hospital in New York and Indiana. Lewisbro Volunteer Ambulance Corporation also has access to stat flight helicopters in case of emergency. The corporation conducts training drills each month. Lewisbro Volunteer Ambulance Corporation has a fleet of rescue vehicles and ambulances from Ford and Chevrolet. The corporation raises funds through annual bake sales and the donation given by its volunteers.
