Lakeville Park is part of the excellent Great Neck Park District system. It is what residents refer to as a "neighborhood" park. As expected, the "kiddie" playground has been fully updated in recent years. There is also a very nice "aqua" park for the kids to enjoy during the warmer months. Two half-sized basketball courts are available for athletic endeavours. Permanent chess or checker tables and seats are present - just bring your own pieces.
Lakeville Park has a memorial garden created to remember Peter Christopher Frank - a local resident who played in this park as a youngster and lost his life on 9/11.
